| Divisions |
|
1.
Horses in Performance: Photos must
show horses in competition, training or work of any discipline.
Horse must be in motion.
|
| 2.
Horses at Liberty: Photos
must show the horse in motion or at rest in his natural environment
whether pasture, stable or in the wild. |
|
3.
Horses and Humans: Photos must demonstrate
the bond between horses and humans.
|
| 4.
Horses and Feeding: Photos
must show the horse grazing or eating some type of feed: grains,
grasses, hays, etc. |
5.
Headshots: Photos must only show the
horse’s head. The photo may have one or multiple heads
in the picture, or it may focus on one facial feature.

| Rules |
| 1.
Entries must be the original work of the entrant, and the
entrant must hold all copyrights to the photograph upon entry. |
| 2.
Entries must be previously unpublished work. |
3.
By entering their photographs, contestants give ec magazine
First North American Serial Rights to the images. This means
that ec has the right to publish the image one time for its
own purposes in addition to printing the winning images in
the magazine as part of the contest. Any further use of the
images would be negotiated with the photographers. The photographer
retains photo credits and all other rights to the image.

1. Photos
must be submitted as either:
High
resolution JPG files emailed to editor@ecmagazine.net

4 x 6 (or larger) prints may be mailed to:

| 2.
Mailed entries must include a self-addressed stamped envelope
for photos to be returned; ec is not responsible for lost
mail. |
| 3.
All entries must include the name, address, email address,
and telephone number of the photographer. An entry form can
be downloaded from www.ecmagazine.net/EntryForm.htm. |
| Judging
Criteria |
| Entries
will be judged on composition of the photo, use of light and
color to enhance the subject, uniqueness of the subject or
perspective, suitability for the division and overall impact
of the photo. |
| Prizes |
| 1.
Grand Prize: “Feed a Horse for a Year” –
The contestant who has the best overall photo will win a years
supply of Seminole feed for his or her horse. |
| 2.
Winner of each division: Each division winner will
receive 10 bags of the Seminole feed of his or her choice.
(If no horse is owned an equivalent prize will be awarded). |
